Tree-recycling sites open in Fairmont and Sherburn
Two towns will offer tree recycling drop-site locations for those who want to take down the tree after the holidays: Fairmont City Street Shop (411 East Margaret Street) in Fairmont and Sherburn Nursery in Sherburn. Natural trees only. Artificial trees, wreaths, roping, lights, or ornaments are prohibited. The sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day from Dec. 26 to Jan. 10. ‘Cosmic Bowling’ tonight and tomorrow
Bowlmor Lanes in Fairmont will have Cosmic Bowling today, Dec. 27, and tomorrow, Dec. 28, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Enjoy glowing bowling lanes, music, food, and more.
New Year’s Eve family rollerskating
Come and roller skate with family and friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the Fairmont Elementary School. There is no need to pre-register, and participants may come and pay $5 (per person) at the door. All equipment will be furnished. Do not bring skates. Please enter through door 21.
