Fundraiser planned at Knights of Columbus
Bravo Zulu House and Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Fairmont Area Assembly #551 will host a Veterans Fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Knights of Columbus Community Event Center. Dinner will be served to guests, including chicken, pork, baby red potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls, coffee, and water. The cost of admission for non-veterans is $18. All veterans will attend free of charge. Admission and donations go toward the Bravo Zulu House and its mission to encourage veteran sobriety. Service Club for meeting Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. After-school art class to make Funko Pops
The Fairmont Elementary School (FES) will have an after-school artist program where artists in grades 3rd to 6th can unleash their creativity, explore different mediums, and connect with like-minded peers. Students will make Funko Pop three-dimensional figurines. The classes will be held from 3:15 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Nov. 5, 12, and 19 at the FES Art Room. Registration is required, costs $45 per participant, and closes on Oct. 29.
