East Chain church plans coffee party

East Chain United Methodist Church will host its monthly community coffee party from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the church in East Chain. They will serve rolls, donuts, coffee, tea and juice. Free will offering. Everyone is welcome.

Trimont Sundaes in the Park this weekend

The next Trimont Sundaes in the Park for the 2024 season is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Triumph Memorial Park in Trimont. Entertainment will feature Steve Lang. Bring your lawn chair and get an awesome sundae. Donations are appreciated for the sundaes. The concert is free. Everyone is invited.

CREST “Lunch & Learn” Monday in Fairmont

It’s the great Minnesota get together. Thousands of people descend on St. Paul each August to conclude their summer fun with a trip to the Minnesota State Fair. The next CREST Lunch & Learn will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the CREST office, 820 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. The program will feature timely information on the Minnesota State Fair and what you need to know to be better informed. A lunch featuring chicken salad sandwiches and a peach dessert will be served following the presentation.
