Red Rock to host Tuesday lunch event

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a free musical lunch hour beginning noon Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont, featuring the musical talents of Big John and Connie Pedersen, showcasing county and rockabilly tunes. Complimentary hot dog lunches will be provided while they last. Family Fun Threshing Day Aug. 11 at Heritage Acres

Visit Heritage Acres, a historic farmstead in Fairmont, for threshing day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. See what living and farming in the early 1900s were like. A blacksmith, pedal pull, teepee tours, wagon rides, petting zoo, threshing and more, make it a fun event for families and friends of all ages. Live music will be provided by Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen, and great food will be available on site. More information is on the Heritage Acres Fairmont Facebook page.
