3M employees, past and present, will meet for lunch noon Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Green Mill Restaurant in Fairmont.

Red Rock to host Tuesday lunch event

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a free musical lunch hour beginning noon Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont, featuring the musical talents of Big John and Connie Pedersen, showcasing county and rockabilly tunes. Complimentary hot dog lunches will be provided while they last. All are invited.

American Legion Auxiliary plans Tuesday meeting

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 of Fairmont will meet 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All those interested are encouraged to attend.

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Aktion Club Theatre to meet Thursday

Aktion Club Theatre, a part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St. in Fairmont. Any questions about the group, please call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

Family Fun Threshing Day Aug. 11 at Heritage Acres

Visit Heritage Acres, a historic farmstead in Fairmont, for threshing day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. See what living and farming in the early 1900s were like. A blacksmith, pedal pull, teepee tours, wagon rides, petting zoo, threshing and more, make it a fun event for families and friends of all ages. Live music will be provided by Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen, and great food will be available on site. More information is on the Heritage Acres Fairmont Facebook page. Heritage Acres is located at 507 Lake Avenue in Fairmont, Minn. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council with funds appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature from its general fund.
