Red Rock to hold Kidcasso on Saturday
They’re going buggy for spring from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts during Kidcasso, an open art studio experience for kids of all ages. Come and get creative. Walk-ins are welcome.
Lego Club Monday at Fairmont Library
join library staff for Lego Club starting 5 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the Fairmont Library. This is for kids in grades, K-6. All supplies are provided and registration is not required. Come out and bring a friend. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
Valley Quilters set Monday meeting
The seventh meeting of the Blue Earth Valley Quilter’s 2023-2024 year will be held 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the media center at Blue Earth Area High School. Please enter through Door C. They will start the meeting with introductions and show-and-tell. For show and tell, bring your spring decor quilted items, orphan block projects, as well as any new projects you have finished. They will also have several “table talk” topics. Blue Earth Valley Quilters is organized under the auspices of the Blue Earth Area School District’s Community Education Program. They meet the third Monday of the month at BEA High School, with no meetings in December or July. The quilting group is open to everyone who enjoys quilts or quilting. Service Club to meet Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its next weekly meeting noon Tuesday, April 16, at the Best Western in Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Emily Fett, School Nurse for Fairmont Area Schools. Guests are always welcome. With questions, call Lorin Pollock at (507) 230-4800.
LWML plans spring mission event Tuesday
The Spring Mission Gathering of the Blue Earth Zone LWML will be Tuesday, April 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Registration is $5. A light meal will start at 5 p.m. with the program to get underway at 6 p.m. Rev. Dr. Armand Boehme will speak on a variety of spiritual topics. Gifts from the Heart donations will benefit the food shelf in Blue Earth.
Chubb House holds Wednesday coffee
The public is invited to join Chubb House committee members for coffee and treats beginning 10 a.m. every Wednesday morning at the Chubb House, 209 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. Stop by each Wednesday and appreciate one of Fairmont’s historical treasures.
