Early Risers meet tomorrow
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont meets 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The featured speaker this week will be Dale Baruth. This will be focused on Veterans Day. Dale being a former Navy Service member. The public is invited.
Breakfast for vesterans
Hy-vee is hosting a free breakfast for veterans 6-10 a.m. Friday. We wish to salute those who have proudly served. The breakfast will be

The next Interlaken Heritage Days committee meeting is 5:30 p.m., Thursday, at Minuteman Press, 414 N. State St. Everyone is invited to attend.
CER to hold on-line class
CER will hold a Feet, Knees and Ankles class 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15 via ZOOM. In this workshop, you will learn simple things to help correct common problems such as; flat arches, bunions and calluses. The fee is $29 and registration closes November 13th.
Lefse making demo at library
Learn how to make lefse 6 p.m., Thursday at the Truman Library. Megan Heller will show you how it’s done. There is no cost to attend and registration in not required.
Fairmont Library storytime
The Fairmont Library will hold storytime 9-9:30 a.m., Thursday. This program is for children ages birth to 2 and an adult caregiver. Spend quality time and share a love of books with a little reader. There is no cost to attend and no need to register.
South Central Quilts for Vets to hold pie social
The South Central Quilts for Vets will host a pie social 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday at The Meadows, 1310 Adams Avenue. We will present quilts to residents of The meadows, thanking them for their sevice and sacrifice. South Central Quilts for Vets is a newly formed organization offering quilts to vets in Martin County and the surrounding area.
Human Rights Committee to meet
The Human Rights Committee of Martin County will meet 11 a.m., Thursday at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 102 North Park Street, Fairmont. Following the guidelins from the nationally respected Minnesota Department of Human Rights, we strive to encourage respect and maintain dignity for all the residencies of Martin County. All are welcome to join us.
