FCH to gather for lunch

CREST Lunch and Learn in Fairmont

The next CREST Lunch and Learn will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, at the CREST office in Fairmont. This month’s program will feature Joyce Peterson, who will share ideas for easy gardening. A lunch of ham balls, cheesy potatoes, beans, and brownies will be served following the program. Topics and menu are subject to change. If you want to attend this event, RSVP to the CREST office by calling (507) 235-3833. This activity is open to all seniors in Martin County. A free-will donation is always welcome.

Movie Monday at Fairmont library

Movie Monday will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 12, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. “The Absent-minded Professor” will be shown. Popcorn will be served. There is no cost to attend. The Prairie Star Quilt Guild (PSQG) will meet at 12:30 p.m. (for the Quilt Board) and 1:30 p.m. (regular membership) on Monday, May 12, at the Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church. This month’s program will be a presentation of Quilt Stories by PSQG member Jane Traver. Sew and Share will follow the meeting. Food Drive at Martin County Libraries

Everyone is invited to bring canned and non-perishable food donations to the library until May 12. These donations will be delivered to our local food shelves. Donate your goods at the Fairmont, Sherburn, Trimont, or Truman libraries. All donors will be entered into a prize drawing.
