Blood drive planned Thursday

There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Shiloh Lutheran Church, 108 Jay St. in Elmore. To make an appointment and to register, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or go online at www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-ins will be accepted. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially O. Give blood if you are able as it could save up to three lives.

Heritage Acres to hold meeting

Heritage Acres will hold its last meeting of the year starting 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Prairieville building. After a light supper, there will be reports given by the secretary, treasurer and president. Jerry Simon will review the results of the Harvest Festival, discuss suggestions for improvements and plans to close up the buildings for the winter. All members and the public are invited to attend.
