Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Santos Cruz, Kiwanis Early Risers’ newest member, and he is having an opportunity to speak to the club this week. The public is invited.
Meet the Doulas event Wednesday evening
Fairmont Women of Today will host a doula meet and greet event from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.18, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Bring your questions to this drop-in event. Birth and postpartum doula information will be available.
Fairmont Library to host junk paleontology event
Make a dinosaur out of reusable junk. The event will be held 1-2:30 p.m. or 3:30-5p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. This program is for kids, ages 6 and up, and registration is required. To register your child, call the library at (507) 238-4207. This program is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
MCBTYR seek military members updates
Martin County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (MCBTYR) is wanting names, addresses and phone numbers of military members who are currently serving and where they are stationed, with a home record within Martin County.
