Sportsman Club sets shooting event

East Chain Sportsman’s Club will hold its season opener trap shoot event beginning noon Sunday, March 26, at the club located a half-mile north of East Chain. All shooters are always welcome. Service Club to hold Tuesday meeting

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday, March 28, in the meeting room at Profinium Bank in Fairmont. The program this week will feature Vonnie Cone of Remax Total Realty in Fairmont. Hanel visits Fairmont Library Thursday

Join library staff for a presentation by Mankato area author and writing instructor, Rachael Hanel, beginning 6 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Hanel will discuss her latest book, “Not the Camilla We Knew” and lead the group through some memoir writing exercises. There is no cost to attend this program and registration is not needed. This program is made possible through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Great Puzzle Race Thursday at Truman Library

Put together a team of four adults and join the great puzzle race which will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Truman Library. See which team can complete their matching puzzle with the fastest time. There is no cost to attend this event, but registration is required.
