Maker’s Club Monday at Red Rock Center

Red Rock Center’s Maker’s Club will host Let’s Talk About Batiks with Char Kahler beginning 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Please use the south entrance at the Red Rock Center. Batik is the art of wax-resistant dye on fabrics to create beautiful and colorful designs. This unique technique can be done with various kinds of dyes and different fabrics like cotton, silk, wool and other natural fabrics. Light refreshments will be available. Bring your favorite beverage if you wish. No registration required. Free and everyone is welcome.

Service Club to hold meeting Tuesday

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. The program this week will feature Stew Murfield, Fairmont Head Cross Country Coach. Fairmont Library plans STEM activities Wednesday

Join library staff for STEM activities while school is out for Thanksgiving break on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. For all the fun, children in grades K-2 will begin at 10 a.m., and children in grades 3-6 will start at 1 p.m. No registration is required and there is no cost to attend.
