Legion Auxiliary sets Tuesday meeting

Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 300 Downtown Plaza, Fairmont. All members are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone who’s interested.

Beekeeper to visit Jackson County Libraries

Join library staff at the Jackson County Library System on Wednesday, Oct. 5, to hear beekeeper, Toni Hazen, speak about her honey bee hobby. Toni has a hive outside Estherville, Iowa, and will share the process of keeping bees, harvesting honey and the making of her products. This adult program is free and will be held 12 p.m. at the Jackson Library, 2 p.m. at the Lakefield Library, and 5:30 p.m. at the Heron Lake Library. Programs are subject to change, so please call your local library for more information.
