Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Tyler Garrison, Director of Building & Grounds Maintenance for Fairmont Area Schools. The public is invited to attend.

Upcoming community softball practice

There will be softball practice starting 7 p.m. Friday, May 20 at the Cardinal Field softball diamonds, across from the Aquatic Park in Fairmont. Anyone from the public is invited to join people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in this fun community activity. Any questions, please contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017. Blue Earth Lions to hold Friday program

The 62nd annual Lions Club Athletic Program will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, in the Performing Arts Center at Blue Earth Area High School in Blue Earth. Students in grades 7-12 that have earned a junior varsity or varsity letter will be recognized. Special awards will be given to selected seniors. Dessert will be served following the program. Tickets can be purchased from any Blue Earth Lion’s Club member or at the door the night of the program.
