Hagedorn’s office to host mobile office in Trimont

The Office of Congressman Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) will host a mobile office from 10-11 a.m. today, Feb. 8, at the Trimont Community Room, 41 2nd Ave. NW in Trimont. Mobile offices are designed to bring constituent services to the doorstep of residents in need of assistance. Office staff will be available to assist with problems related to federal departments and agencies such as Social Security, veterans’ benefits, passports, tax matters, and more. Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Jason Subbert, who will talk about the change from Holiday Inn to Best Western, as well as other community activities. The public is invited to attend.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2021 fall semester at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D.: Alpha — Ashley Keck, Anna Rose; Fairmont — Laura Hartke, Ericka Kim; Sherburn — Parker Anderson.

Joshua Bergt of Fairmont, and Bennett Shane of Truman, were named to the honors list for the 2021 fall semester at Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward, Neb.

Angela Gerken of Fairmont graduated and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in animal science during a commencement held December 2021 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
