Correction:

In Tuesday’s People & Events column, an announcement about upcoming blood drives listed an incorrect city for the last drive. It will be held 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 214 S. Holland St. in Blue Earth.

Ruby’s Pantry plans distribution

Ruby’ Pantry will hold a food distribution from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-through process. Participants will not have to get out of their cars. Participants are also asked to clean out the trunk of their vehicle prior to the event. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $20 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Please bring two large boxes or laundry baskets for the food. Hope Cafe offers Sunday meal

St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont is preparing Hope Cafe meals. They will serve a hot meal of grilled brat burgers in-person at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 901 S. Prairie Ave, Fairmont. The church offers the meal on the fourth Sunday of the month. If you’re unable to join them in-person due to transportation issues, let them know so arrangements can be made to deliver the meal to you. Announcements for People and Events must be submitted by noon the day prior to publication. Type or neatly write submissions and mail them to P.O. Box 681. Fax to (507) 235-3718 or email news@fairmontsentinel.com. Announcements also can be submitted via our virtual newsroom: www.fairmontsentinel.com. A name and telephone number of someone to contact must be included in case the Sentinel needs more information.
