Heritage Acres meeting on Thursday

The next monthly meeting for Heritage Acres will be held 6 p.m. Thursday in the Prairieville Building at Heritage Acres, 507 Lake Ave. in Fairmont. After the secretary and treasurer reports, Jerry Simon will provide updates on new donations, activities, parades and discuss preparations for Threshing Day which is planned for Aug. 8. All members and the public are invited to attend.

Martin County Republicans plan Thursday event

Martin County Republicans of Minnesota will host their second Pints & Politics meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sherburn American Legion, 18 North Osborne Street in Sherburn. The featured speaker will be Mike Marti, Minnesota gubernatorial candidate. Come out to talk with Mr. Marti or just have a pint with friends.

Samantha Hagedorn of Bancroft was named to the dean’s list for the 2021 spring semester at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa.
