Birdhouses available on Saturday

A limited number of wood duck nesting boxes, bluebird and wren houses are available at no cost from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the shelter house at the Martin County Conservation Club on the south end of North Silver Lake. The club property is located about 7 miles south of Fairmont on State Highway 15 turning west on County Highway 8 for 1 1/4 miles, just past Hands Park. These houses were made by club members utilizing used building materials. Donations are appreciated to cover expenses. Also, special redwood and cedar wren houses are for sale. All are welcome.

Sportsman Club sets Sunday shooting event

East Chain Sportsman’s Club will hold a free shooter ‘appreciation trap shoot’ event beginning noon Sunday at the club located a half-mile north of East Chain on 254th Avenue. Social distancing guidelines will be followed as needed. They will be throwing free targets all day. (Shooters supply your own shells). There will be free barbecues and chips all day. Worship Center hosts breakfast

Regional Worship Center in Sherburn will host a community breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Monday at their facility located at 2 Crossroads Dr. in Sherburn. There will be a variety of food to choose from. A free will donation will be accepted. Everyone is invited for a good breakfast and fellowship.
