Blood donation opportunities next week

There will be two blood donation opportunities next week in our area. First, an American Red Cross blood drive will be held 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Wells American Legion, 145 W. Franklin St. in Wells. Also, a blood drive will be held 12:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bricelyn Community Center, 309 N. Main St. in Bricelyn. Extra sanitization will be in place. Please wear a face covering and practice good physical distancing. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org. Donors of all blood types are needed. Everyone who is healthy is encouraged to donate blood to help keep up a strong blood supply during the winter months.

Jessica Meyer of Truman recently earned a Master of Science, Nursing-Leadership and Management degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.
