Recycling site to close

City of Fairmont’s yard waste recycling site located at 1880 100th Street, west of Fairmont, has been closed for the season. Pursuant to policy approved by the city council, the yard waste site is now closed to the public until April 1, 2021. Contractors looking to utilize the site during this closure can contact city hall or visit the city’s website for a permit application to allow commercial usage during the closure. The city’s yard waste recycling site policy along with the commercial permit application form are available at www.fairmont.org.
