Blood donation opportunity next week

American Red Cross blood drive will be held 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St. in Fairmont. The Red Cross is urging healthy, eligible individuals to give blood to help prevent blood shortages that could result from lower donor participation. Donors of all blood types are encouraged to give blood. Note: getting a flu shot does not affect blood donation eligibility. Extra sanitary precautions are used and it is safe to give.
