People First offers fudge sales

Martin County People First is selling nine varieties of fudge in half-pound boxes until Nov. 18. They also have two flavors of sugar-free fudge available. The fudge will be available sometime after Dec. 10. To place an order, call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or contact a People First member.

Girl Scout sign-up event upcoming

Future Girl Scouts are invited to a “Think Like an Engineer – Junk Drawer Challenge” virtual event. There are two different times families can sign up. The first is from 5-6 p.m. Oct. 26 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/think-like-an-engineer-virtual-sign-up-event-fairmont-registration-124020068363; and the second is from 6-7 p.m. Oct. 26 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/think-like-an-engineer-virtual-sign-up-event-fairmont-registration-124020258933. During this program, girls will have the opportunity to solve problems and complete a design challenge using items commonly found in a junk drawer or around the house. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay online with children through the entire event. This is a free event and open to all girls who are not yet in Girl Scouts. Registration is required.
