CER opportunities
Fairmont Community Education and Recreation is continuing to offer Adult Basic Education for those age 18 and older via distance learning. Those interested can learn English; prepare for their GED; improve reading, math and writing skills; and learn basic computer skills. New adult learners are welcome to join at any time by contacting CER at (507) 235-3141. There also will be “Learn English at the Park” this fall, with Katy Gonzalez conducting free English classes from 1-3 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Thursday, at the Amber Lake Shelter House (depending on weather). Cancellation
Martin County Kids Against Hunger announces there will not be a food pack in February 2021. The group thanks people for their generous support in the past and looks forward to working with everyone again in February 2022.
