Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday in the shelter house at Amber Lake Park, 515 Interlaken Rd. in Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Ned Koppen, president of the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce, who will provide updates and talk about current activities of the organization. The public is invited.

Garden Club plans Friday meeting

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet 1 p.m. Friday in Fairmont. Please call or text Leslie Walkowiak at (651) 895-6578 for the location of the meeting and to RSVP your attendance so adequate accommodations can be made.    Members please note there is a change of date and location; this is a reschedule of the May meeting. They will be celebrating mothers with a salad luncheon. Please bring a salad to share. There will be a business meeting followed by an informative presentation on “Methods of Gardening – “Biblical Garden Design, Part 1.” If you are interested in becoming a member or would like more information about the Garden Club, please call or text Leslie Walkowiak at (651) 895-6578.
