Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. Its guest will be Laura Tjomsland, lieutenant governor, Kiwanis District 6. The program will feature Roni Dauer, director of Fairmont Community Education and Recreation, who will give updates on programs and activities being offered. The public is invited to attend.

Crookshank bridal shower set in Swea City

A bridal shower for Marissa Crookshank, daughter of John and Tammy Crookshank of Swea City, and bride-to-be of Garrett Johnson, son of Lyndon and Tiffany Johnson of Swea City, will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Reynolds Park in Swea City. A short program will begin around 9:30 a.m. Those attending are encouraged to drive by or stop by the park while practicing social distancing and wearing a face covering. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the United Methodist Church in Swea City. All friends and family are invited.
