Martin Luther to hold Sunday benefit dinner

Everyone is invited to the “Celebrating Our Freedom” benefit dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The school’s board of directors will serve grilled pork loin, au gratin potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, cupcakes, lemonade and coffee. Dinner will be inside in the gym with social distancing seating provided. Drive up orders can be made by calling (507) 436-5249. Proceeds will support the MLHS ministry throughout the summer months. Free will donations will be received with a suggested minimum of $10. Any amount over and above can be recorded as a tax-deductible donation.

Blood donation opportunity next week

There will be an American Red Cross blood drive opportunity next week for our area. A blood drive will be held 1-7 p.m. Tuesday at American Legion Post 561, 121 Lewis St. West in Lewisville. As concerns about COVID-19 continue in our country, the American Red Cross is urging healthy, eligible individuals to give blood to help prevent blood shortages that could result from lower donor participation. Donors of all blood types are encouraged to give blood. To make an appointment to donate blood, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), visit RedCrossBlood.org or download the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
