Soup meals to restart Thursday

A free soup meal will be offered again by The Shepherd’s In, starting Thursday at the Blazer Hall, 95 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Serving is from 5-7 p.m. The free soup meal will be available every Thursday throughout the summer. COVID-19 practices will be followed. All are welcome for good food, fellowship and fun. The Shepherd’s In will also be continuing their free soup meal delivery to shut-ins and needy persons in Martin County. The delivery will be once per week. College News

Conor Barnett of Blue Earth received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and Carly Hempen of Winnebago received a doctorate in dental surgery, following the 2020 spring semester at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter: Fairmont — Ethan Davide, Iliana Ramon; St. James — MacKinzee Miest, Alejandra Trapero.
