Sportsman’s Club slates trap shooting

East Chain Sportsman’s Club will hold a trap shooting event noon Sunday at the club located one-half mile north of East Chain on 254th Avenue. This will be the 2020 season opener for the trap season. They will shoot practice rounds and 16-25 yard Oakley’s and Boondocks. All regular shoots will be for gift cards. 2020 memberships will be available. The grill will be on all day. Ruby’s Pantry plans food distribution

Ruby’s Pop-Up Pantry, a community food outreach program, will hold a food distribution Monday at the Regional Worship Center, 2 Crossroads Dr., in Sherburn. Registration begins at 5 p.m., with food distribution from 6-7:30 p.m. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by a $20 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Participants are asked to bring two large boxes, totes or laundry baskets for the food. Library in Fairmont to host family fun night

Join library staff for “Leprechauns on the Loose,” a themed family fun night 6 p.m. Monday at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. There will be St. Patrick’s Day fun for the whole family. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. With questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Martin Luther to host community trivia event

All community trivia buffs are invited to compete at a Trivia Knight Battle of the Brains beginning 6:30 p.m. March 21 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Teams of up to eight people (ages 13+) should sign up before March 16 at www.martinlutherhs.com/trivia-knight.html along with their payment. The entry fee is $80 per team. Cash prizes for first and second place will be given out. Refreshments will be available for sale. For more information, call (507) 436-5249. Proceeds will go towards the 2021 Europe educational tour.
