Fairmont library adjusting closing times
Beginning March 1, the Martin County Library in Fairmont will close at 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All other hours will remain the same. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Jodie Whitmore, who will provide an update regarding the handicap-accessible Adventure Playground at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.
United Methodist slates Lenten supper
Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a lenten supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of homemade potato soup with egg dumplings, vegetable beef barley soup, breadsticks, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.
