Great Books to meet

Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. today in the back room at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Story is “A Family” by Jamel Brinkley.

First Congregational plans free meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a free community meal 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza, Fairmont. The hospitality board from the church will serve the meal consisting of barbecues, corn casserole, strawberry salad and assorted bars. Everyone is invited.

Library to host teen Read-a-Latte event

All teens are invited to join Amber for their Read-a-Latte event beginning 3 p.m. Thursday at Graffiti Corner in Fairmont. Enjoy free fro-yo and coffee and share what you’re reading, watching or listening to. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

MLHS sets up Step Up Day

All 5th and 6th grade students are invited to Step Up Day from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. MLHS students will provide a tour of learning activities and present a Got Talent variety show. A free lunch from Subway will be provided. Visitors are asked to please RSVP as soon as possible by calling the MLHS office at (507) 436-5249.
