United Methodist slates Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of A&W Swiss burgers, chips, baked beans, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Early Risers slate Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Dominique Berg, employment service manager for STEP, Inc. in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.

Aktion Club Theatre to meet Thursday

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St., in Fairmont. The public is invited to join any of the group’s theatrical practices. Lucas Determan of Blue Earth was named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich.

Anna Nordquist of Fairmont, and Megan Helget and Gabrielle Nett, both of St. James, were named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
