Libraries announce closings

All Martin County libraries will be closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Valley Quilters set Monday meeting

Blue Earth Valley Quilters will meet 7 p.m. Monday in the Blue Earth Area High School choir room. Enter through door “V” on the south side of the building. The main program will be feature Jan Shaffer, who will demonstrate the different ways to use specialty strip cutting rulers. Anyone interested in this quilting group may attend. ‘Casual Conversation’ set for Tuesday

The public is invited to the fourth Building Bridges Casual Conversation of the season from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday at Graffiti Corner, 1500 South State St., Fairmont. Participants can share their ideas during this informal opportunity to make connections with English-language learners through casual conversations and planning for the city’s future. Library in Fairmont to host Lego League

Children ages 6-12 are invited to join library staff for a Lego League event 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin County Library, Fairmont. There is no cost to attend and no need to register. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.
