Welcome church to host Saturday event

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome will host their Christmas goodies bakery and cafe from 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday at the church located at 214 N. Dugan St. in Welcome. Come for some shopping and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot apple cider. All are invited.

Kennedy benefit slated Saturday in Ceylon

A benefit for the Dustin and Jesse Kennedy family will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Legends II Bar and Grill in Ceylon. The Kennedy’s and their two children lost their home and all its contents in a fire on Nov. 12. A meal of a pork tenderloin sandwich, and side dishes will be served for a free will donation to the family. There will also be a silent auction, bake sale, and a raffle drawing. An account has been set up for monetary donations at Farmers State Bank in Dunnell. Donations can be sent to Kennedy Fire Account, P.O. Box 67, Dunnell, MN 56127. This event is sponsored by Legends II, Ceylon Fire and EMS, Brand FX in Dunnell, and friends of the Kennedy family. Everyone is welcome.
