Class of 1961 to meet for lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

City of Lakes Garden Club to meet

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet for its annual Christmas potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Joyce Simon in Fairmont. Christmas gifts will be collected for distribution to area nursing homes. Those interested in becoming a member or who would like more information may call Leslie Walkowiak at (651) 895-6578.

Veterans memorial meeting scheduled

The monthly meeting for the Martin County Veterans Memorial will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at 95 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All Martin County veterans, veterans’ family members or interested public may attend.

Rec volleyball meeting slated for Thursday

An organizational meeting for winter co-rec volleyball will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday in cafeteria A at Fairmont Elementary School. Play begins Jan. 9. A completed team roster and fee must be turned into Community Education and Recreation no later than Jan. 2. The team fee is $159.

Truman Museum plans open house

The Truman Museum will have a Christmas open house from 1-4 p.m. Friday. Hot cocoa, coffee and Christmas goodies will be available. There will be a drawing for all members who joined in 2019 at 4 p.m. and the winner will receive a garden flag. There is still time to join; need not be present to win. The public is invited.
