Feather party tonight in Sherburn

A feather party will be held 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Sherburn American Legion. Thirty turkeys will be given away to bingo winners. There also will be drawings for door prizes. Everyone is welcome.

Library to host ‘Turkey Trouble’

Martin County Library in Fairmont will host a “Family STEM Storytime-Turkey Trouble” event at 6 p.m. Monday. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Ruby’s Pantry plans food distribution

Ruby’s Pop-Up Pantry, a community food outreach program, will hold a food distribution Monday at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Registration begins at 5 p.m., with food distribution from 6-7:30 p.m. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $20 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Participants are asked to bring two large boxes, totes or laundry baskets for food. Valley Quilters set Monday meeting

Blue Earth Valley Quilters will meet 7 p.m. Monday in the Blue Earth Area High School choir room. Enter through door “V” on the south side of the building. The main program will be feature Sharon Huse from the Old Alley Quilt Shop in Sherburn. She will speak about taming your stash. Anyone interested in this quilting group may attend. Dollars for Scholars to meet in Sherburn

Martin County West Dollars for Scholars will hold an informational meeting for all MCW seniors and their parents at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the computer lab at Martin County West Jr./Sr. High School in Sherburn. They will explain how the scholarship application system works. The scholarship application deadline is March 15. Students who wish to apply are asked to start by creating an online student profile at: dollarsforscholars.org.
