Homecoming feed slated for Friday

A Fairmont High School homecoming feed tailgate party sponsored by Rosen’s Diversified, Inc. and Minnesota Motor Bus Inc. will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mahoney Field at Fairmont High School. If it is raining, the event will be held in the Fairmont High School commons area. Bratwursts, hot dogs, sauerkraut, chips, cookies and beverage will be served. Donations of $5 to Partners in Education will be accepted. Everyone is invited.

Storbeck, Spoerry celebration of life planned

There will be a celebration of life Saturday for Don Storbeck and Dale Spoerry, both of whom have passed away and were classmates in 1965 at Welcome. Friends, relatives, and classmates are invited to share memories from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at 201 Harrison St. in Welcome.

Missionary League hosting event Sunday

The Blue Earth Zone of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League will hold its fall event Sunday in the fireside room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Registration and dessert will begin at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dr. William Utech, assistant to the president for missions for the LCMS South District, will speak about working with pastors and congregations to plant new churches.
