Sister to speak about Ritchie Valens

Connie Valens will reminisce about her late brother, Ritchie Valens, during the Lunch with the Arts program at Red Rock Center at noon Tuesday. Ritchie Valens was a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer whose career ended abruptly on Feb. 3, 1959, when his plane crashed in Iowa and also claimed the lives of fellow musicians Buddy Holly and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson. Coffee and bars will be available. Donations accepted. Everyone is welcome.
