Great Books to meet Monday
Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Mary Don Kislingbury’s home, 1961 Knollwood Dr., Fairmont. The story is “The Midnight Zone” by Lauren Groff.
Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting
Prairie Star Quilt Guild will meet Monday at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave. The guild board will meet 12:30 p.m., with the regular membership meeting beginning 1:30 p.m. A presentation by Sharon Huse of the Olde Alley Quilt Shop in Sherburn will provide information on choosing the proper color and fabric for a quilt. The evening group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Membership is open to anyone who enjoys quilting. Quilters of all skill levels are welcome. For more information, contact Debra Engman at (507) 236-6253.
Blue Earth Senior Center to sponsor event
A “Senior Day Out” sponsored by the Blue Earth Senior Center will begin noon Wednesday at Putnam Park, 111 W. 14th St., Blue Earth. Hamburgers, hot dogs, lemonade, coffee and water will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass. Everyone is welcome.
