Genealogical Society to meet Saturday

Martin County Genealogical Society will hold its annual meeting 9 a.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Museum, 304 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. Members and the general public may attend.

Great Books group to meet Monday

Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Ginny Riedesel’s home, Maplewood, 620 Summit Ave., Apt. 306, Fairmont. The story is “A Small Sacrifice for an Enormous Happiness” by Jai Chakrabarti.

Social media breakfast scheduled Tuesday

Fairmont Area Social Media breakfast will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday in room 012 (downstairs) at Southern Minnesota Educational Campus, 115 S. Park St., Fairmont. The guest speaker will be Amanda Walljasper-Tate, owner of the “Daily Apple,” who will talk about bricks and mortar retail business success by using social media creatively to enhance customer experience. All are welcome to attend.

Businesses can contribute to Kinship sale

All businesses (industrial, service, retail, restaurants, farmers) will have the opportunity to clean out their unneeded equipment, tools, supplies, parts, etc., and deliver them to the Bank Midwest/Industrial Building during the mornings of April 25-27 and all day April 29-30 at the Martin County Fairgrounds or by appointment. The sale will be May 2-4 in the Bank Midwest Building at the fairgrounds. No household items accepted. All items donated or consigned will benefit Kinship.
