Holy Hotdish meal planned Tuesday

Community Food and Fellowship (also known as Holy Hotdish) will continue from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in the basement at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1200 N. North Ave., Fairmont. The menu will consist of ham and hashbrown casserole, green bean almondine, assorted dessert, lemonade and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults, and $5 for children, 12 and under. The event is hosted by Parochial School families and friends. Proceeds will go towards Immanuel’s parochial education fund. All are welcome for great food and fellowship.

Lutheran women plan spring event

Blue Earth/Sherburn Bi-Zone of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League will have its spring event Tuesday at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop. Registration and a light supper will begin at 5 p.m., with the meeting getting underway at 6 p.m. Evelyn Seton of Cologne, Minn. will be speaking about the Minnesota-based nonprofit organization established to rescue young girls, women and children living in unsafe conditions in Liberia. Gifts from the Heart donations will be received for hygiene kits to be given to rescued people.

Border League reunion set for Saturday

The 8th annual Border League Reunion will begin 2 p.m. Saturday at Double Play Sports Bar, 115 E. Sixth St., in Blue Earth. The reunion targets former athletic directors, coaches, officials, administration, athletes and fans who participated during the existence of the league from 1946 to 1989. Conference athletes from the 1940s, 1959, 1969, 1979 and 1989 will be honored. The featured team this year will be all Bricelyn football teams during the league’s existence. Those who have press clippings, memorabilia or old yearbooks are asked to bring them to share with Border League alumni. Please confirm attendance by email to bhanson204@gmail.com.
