Ruby’s Pantry plans food distribution

Ruby’s Pantry, a community food outreach program, will hold a food distribution from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, rural East Chain. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by a $20 cash donation per participant for operational costs. ‘Drive-in’ movie slated at library

Martin County Library in Fairmont will host a drive-in mini movie at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Those who participate can design a mini car and park it for the movie that will follow. The event is free and open to the public. No registration required. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

St. James Lutheran to host pancake supper

In celebrating Lutheran schools as they prepare for National Lutheran Schools Week, the Board of Christian Education will host an all-you-can-eat pancake supper from 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday at St. James Lutheran School in Northrop. Gluten-free pancakes also will be available. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds will help with tuition assistance. Everyone is welcome.

Martin Luther plans winter carnival

To help kick off National Lutheran Schools Week, the student council and National Honor Society students of Martin Luther High School will sponsor a children’s winter carnival from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the high school in Northrop. This event is for children ages 3 and up. The cost is $5 per child or $15 per family. Parents get in for free. They will have carnival games, a bouncy house, Nerf Gun wars, bake sale, snacks, parent lounge and a toddler room.
