Ruby’s Pantry for distribution in East Chain Ruby’s Pantry will hold a food distribution from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church in rural East Chain. The distribution will be conducted in a drive-thru procedure, and guests are not required to leave their vehicles. Guests are encouraged to clean out the trunk of their vehicle before arriving at the distribution. There are no income or residency guidelines. FOH to host Taiwanese ensemble band Arts Midwest is bringing the Taiwanese song and dance of A Moving Sound to Fairmont as part of Arts Midwest World Fest. Pianist performs Billy Joel and Elton John Phil Thompson, a pianist from Woodbury, will perform at the Red Rock Center for the Arts (RRC) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. He will be playing music by Billy Joel and Elton John in his tribute repertoire. Adaptive basketball for athletes with disabilities CER’s Adaptive Hoops program strives to create a supporting and positive environment for students with mental or physical disabilities in Grades 4th to 6th, while also polishing their skills on the basketball court. Kyle’s Crew Cancer Benefit at Eagles Club A cancer benefit event for Kyle Redenius will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Eagle Club in Fairmont. Kyle Redenius, a lively and helpful community member, was diagnosed with Squamous cell Carcinoma and began treatment two months ago. Kyle and the family need help with medical expenses, and joy from the community to battle this difficult time.
