Kiwanis to meet Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Fairmont Planning and Zoning Coordinator Mike Schutz. He will introduce himself to the members present and talk about his role. Help CREST secure gas cards CREST of Martin County is asks for help in securing $25 gas cards to give to volunteers who transport CREST care receivers to appointments in Mankato, Rochester, Sioux Falls or the Twin Cities. Ruby’s Pantry in East Chain Ruby’s Pantry will have a drive-through food distribution from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Avenue in rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-procedure and you will not have to get out of your car. You are also asked to clean out the trunk of your vehicle before you come.
