JAMES – Brayden Williamson had five hits, brought in three runs, and was one of many key contributors to a 14-4 Fairmont Jr. Legion Post 36 victory over St. James Jr. Legion Post 33 on Wednesday afternoon at Veterans Field. Caden Wickert and Eli Sheard joined Williamson by collecting three RBIs themselves. The trio combined for nine of the Cardinals' 14 hits. SPIRIT LAKE – The North Union softball team split its two games in the Spirit Lake Tournament this past weekend. A win over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Remsen-Union was immediately followed by a defeat at the hands of Bishop Heelan later that Saturday afternoon. JACKSON – The Fairmont Martins scored four runs in the final four innings to take down the Jackson Bulls, 4-3, during Wednesday night’s contest at Wacker Field. Joey Crissinger’s two-run home run in the top of the fourth turned the Martins initial one-score deficit around.
