SHERBURN -- The Martin County West Mavericks girls basketball team maintained a 31-25 halftime lead to beat the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers, 59-50, on Thursday night in Sherburn.
Alyssa Williamson led the Mavericks' scoring effort with 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field.
Renae Eckmann added on 10 points and six rebounds, while Karlee Thiesse finished with 12 points and four rebounds for the Mavericks.
MCW's Maia Taylor produced all-around performance of eight points, seven assists and seven rebounds and Madison Klima doled out three assists.
The Mavericks went 26-for-59 from the floor for 65 percent, including making 23 of 29 2-point baskets for a 79 percentage.
Martin County West (12-3) hosts Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 7 p.m. today in Sherburn.
Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther 58, Heron Lake-Okabena 36 -- The Jaguars outscored the Wildcats, 27-13, in the second half for the 22-point victory on Thursday night in Okabena.
Macy Quinn scored a game-high 12 points for the Jaguars, while Makayla Hall netted 10 points.
Lydia Studer contributed nine points and seven rebounds and Michaelah Petrowiak crashed the boards for six rebounds in the win.
Taylor Johanning led the Wildcats with nine points, while teammate Kiana Leighty made eight points.
The Jaguars went 22-for-52 from 2-point range, 2-for-8 from 3-point range and made 8 out of 15 free throws.

Truman/ Martin Luther /Granada-Huntley-East Chain 74, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 64 -- The Jaguars' senior forward Derek Shoen netted a game-high 20 points to lead the Jaguars to a Valley Conference 10-point victory over the Bulldogs on Thursday in Janesville
Shoen also provided the team with eight rebounds to complement seven assists in the win.
Mason Maloney notched 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double for the Jaguars.
TMLGHEC's Zach Wolter and Isaac Johnson had 12 and eight points, respectively.
James Schrunk posted seven points and Owen Wolter ended the night with five points and a team-best five assists to help the winning effort.
Bulldogs hoopsters Sam Eustice and Andrew Fisel each netted 18 points, while teammate Mychal Fisel tallied 11 points.
The Jaguars went 29-for-58 for 50 percent from the field, including 24-for-39 from 2-point range and netted 11 of 19 free throws.

Martin County West 59, Mankato Loyola 48 -- Cole Owens scored a game-best 20 points in the Mavericks' nine-point Valley Conference victory over the Crusaders on Thursday night in Mankato.
The Mavericks, which went 17-for-23 from the foul line, used a 30-27 halftime advantage to outscore the Crusaders, 29-21, in the second half.
Wyatt Geistfeld notched a double-double's effort 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Matt Holm produced 10 points in the win.
Zan Raverty had a Crusaders-leading 16 points, while teammate Ben Ellingworth made five 3-pointers to finish with 15 points.
