‘Lunch and Learn’ set for Feb. 6
SHERBURN — Friendship Club at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Sherburn would like to invite anyone who would like to join them for a Valentine Party beginning 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont. Prizes will be given away. Bring a friend and come out to this fun event.
2019 Martin County Relay for Life committee meeting will be held 5:30 p.m. Monday in the main meeting room at Mayo Clinic Health System hospital in Fairmont.
A “Lunch and Learn” event sponsored by CREST and Temperance Lake Ridge will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at Sherburn Senior Citizens Center, located at 21 E. First St. in Sherburn.
Meghan Kern from the State Society for the Blind will speak on eye diseases, as well as assistive devices that can help with our daily lives as we age and our eyesight isn’t as good as it once was. She will have some of these devices with her to distribute free of charge to anyone who might need and use them.
Following her presentation, a soup and sandwich lunch with a Valentine dessert will be provided. A donation will be accepted to help defray the cost of the meal. This event is open to anyone in the area who might be interested. Make plans now to come and enjoy the presentation, meal and socializing.
The youth of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn will host a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 10. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee. There will be a free will donation for the meal. Everyone is welcome to attend.
