TRUMAN -- If you own your home or are buying one, Habitat for Humanity has rolled out two new programs.
"A Brush with Kindness" is a program for low-income homeowners struggling to maintain the exterior of their homes, such as with cleanup, painting, landscaping, garbage removal, handicap ramps and repairing steps.
"Critical Home Repair" focuses on larger projects and interior work, such as handicap-accessibility, floor systems, general repairs and roof work.

"Truman Time" can be heard 3:15 p.m. Mondays on KNUJ AM 860. What a good time to hear about all the good things happening around our town.

Be a mentor and be a friend through Kinship. If you are a caring adult and can commit to spending between three and six hours per month with a child between the ages of 5-15 years old, then Kinship needs you to help make a difference in their life. You would also benefit by bringing a smile and friendship to this child.
You can even try mentoring for one day just to see if you would enjoy being a mentor. It's all about fun and giving a child support and friendship in their life.

Truman is once again planning to have an ice skating rink. The city is looking for a person or persons who would like to volunteer some of their time to help with the rink.
Please consider this great opportunity to fill some of those winter hours.

Farmers market in Truman is held 3-6 p.m. every Friday in front of the NAPA Auto Parts store along Highway 15. Garden produce is in abundance including raspberries and even sauerkraut.
