Chevrolet-Honda incident Friday morning in BE

BLUE EARTH — Minnesota State Patrol, Blue Earth Police, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Blue Earth Ambulance and Blue Earth Fire responded to an incident involving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2020 Honda HRV at 8:39 a.m. on Friday, April 17, at Highway 169 and East 3rd Street in Blue Earth. The Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on East 3rd Street and the Honda HRV was traveling northbound on Highway 169 when the vehicles collided in the intersection. Start of the season

One of the first few customers, Tallulah, Axl, Cassie and Chad Wiens receive their treats during the early minutes of Dairy Freeze’s opening day of the season on Friday afternoon. The Wiens family has made it their mission to come to opening day at Dairy Freeze, rain or shine. “It’s a family tradition,” Cassie said. “We’re always happy to be here. It’s gotta be the first day.” Dairy Freeze is located at 1506 Albion Avenue in Fairmont and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
