Kids’ All-American Fishing Derby brings in many on June 6 FAIRMONT — The 35th annual Kids' All-American Fishing Derby was held on Saturday, June 6, at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Eighty children participated in the event, and 60 fish were weighed in. Prizes were awarded for the biggest fish, the smallest fish and the most fish caught. A Kid's Casting Contest was held in conjunction with the derby. 65 kids tried their skills at casting to a target in two age categories, under 11 and 11 to 16 years old.
