ARMSTRONG - Max Heinen's kickoff return touchdown 10 seconds into the opening round of the IHSAA 8-Player Football Playoffs was a sign of things to come for North Union. The Warriors took down Janesville 55-0 Friday night in Armstrong thanks to a dominant effort on both sides of the ball. North Union quarterback Greyson Colegrove rushed for two scores before finding wide receiver Cooper Hoye twice in the end zone. Running back Carson Crouch notched two rushing scores in the second and third quarters. Jackson Hutchinson scored the final touchdown in the fourth quarter. North Union's defense forced its second shutout of the season and has held opponents to seven points or less on five different occasions. The Warriors’ second-round matchup will be revealed on Saturday morning. It's the second straight year North Union head coach Matt Ernster has led his program to a playoff victory.
