Cleaning up

City of Fairmont Parks Department workers Garrett Larson and Cody Benschoter retrieve electronic devices from a truck bed during the Martin County and Fairmont clean-up days on Tuesday afternoon at the Martin County Highway Department in Fairmont. The event is held by the city of Fairmont and GreenTech Recycling. The event will be held once more from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Martin County Highway Department. Latex, oil-based paint, fuels, degreasers, garden products, paint thinner, furniture stripper, household cleaners, chemicals, rechargeable batteries and cell phones will be accepted for free and coupons will be accepted to dispose of other certain items.
